Ascie en Ansie
Appearance
Ascie and Ansie were cartoon figures by Diana Ozon that appeared in a digital comic that was published on a BBS Letterboard in 1992. Ascie was named after ASCII, the character encoding standard for electronic communication, while Ansie was named after the similar standard ANSI. Ozon used the computer program The Draw to create the comics.
Ascie and Ansie could have been created in a word processing programme. They consisted entirely of letters and lived in an environment of keyboard characters.
