Digital Commedia
Appearance
Edited by Human Studies Department at LUMSA University in Rome, Digital Commedia is an actualization and hypertextual adaptation of Dante’s Inferno. The project offers a chance for a critical reflection on the internet and on the platform society, doing it within the very online space on which GAFAM (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, and Microsoft) technological and cultural dominance has established itself. The work consists of ten short stories (written in Italian), in which Dante, who is guided in his journey by Tim Berners-Lee as Virgilio, meets real and fictional characters who symbolize sinners and sins of a digitalized world gone wrong.
