Digital Literature rarely exists as a physical artefact that can be filed in a library or archived somewhere. It is a living thing that depends on a constantly changing infrastructure to function and be accessed. (English)

By preserving works of digital literature, which exist in large part as a function of this dynamic data-architecture, and seeking to effectively fix them in time and space, like an insect in amber, we risk alienating the work from its context and rendering it senseless. (English)
